SRFC Player Verbally Commits To Collegiate Program

San Ramon FC would like to congratulate Sofia Escalante on verbally committing to play soccer at California Baptist University in southern California.  Sofia is a player on the SRFC 99G NPL team coached by Luke Enna. She is currently a senior at Dougherty Valley High School and plays on the school’s varsity soccer team too.

Sofia is excited for her future and had this to say about her decision to choose Cal Baptist University:

“I chose to continue my career at Cal Baptist University because of the wonderful coaches and the beautiful campus. I look forward to spending the next 4 years at my dream school.”

Sofia has played with San Ramon FC her entire youth soccer career, beginning with the U6 recreational program. Sofia has developed her soccer skills through training and playing with her SRFC teams over years, putting in the hard work and time required to improve. By the time she reached the U14 age group, her commitment and progress allowed her to move up to the first team.

With only 10% of female soccer players advancing to play collegiate soccer*, Sofia’s verbal commitment to play at Cal Baptist is an impressive accomplishment. We look forward to watching her play for the Lancers and adding her name to our college Alumni page in the near future.
